Lavender is the bomb...but only if you use the real stuff. Most of the items in the stores claiming to use lavender are not using lavender. I have discussed this before. Know how I know this? Because, hello, I am a CPA and I know numbers and facts, and there are not enough lavender fields in the whole world to be able to produce the amount of lavender required to make these products. But I have frolicked in the real fields in Mona, Utah. I have touched, seen, and smelled the difference.
Lavender is the Swiss Army Knife of oils. Some people do not like the smell of Young Living Lavender straight from the bottle. Do you know why? Because our brains are used to the fake scents that we have been inundated with in products. I have actually had people return bottles to me saying the oil did not smell like the shampoo or lotion from Walmart. I hope to God not.
I also have people that won't even try the bottle because they hate the flowery smell they are used to in other products. We see this often from people that have lived outside of the US mainly because other countries have a higher standard of chemicals and toxins allowed in their products. Those brains are used to the real stuff and won't accept the fake items.
If I am breathing in this stuff, or putting in my foods, or applying it topically to my body or my kids sensitive skin, I want the real thing. Not a fake. Not a substandard product. Not a fragrance. I have a purpose and I want it to work. I don't have time or money for anything less than perfect. I want quality.
Do I really use it? Well, looking at my inventory (yes, I keep an inventory) I can tell you that I have purchased more bottles of Lavender from Young Living than any other oil. So, yes. I use it. Maybe you should too. Part 3 will be listing ALL of my uses. Stay tuned

I'll tell you what it is...empty. 😭
This bottle has many names: Marriage Saver, Witch Recovery Oil, Female Relief, Timewarp Fantasies, Teenage Balancer, Mother of Dragons Potion, I Love Being a Girl Rainbow Sensation (okay...I made up that last one). So let's get real for a second here. I have shared lots of stories of my successes with Young Living products over the years. Most successes have been easy to measure...but some of them are harder to read.
Like using Peace & Calming and then having a good night't sleep. Or getting a sunburn and then applying Lavender or Lavaderm to the area. Or being really tired and inhaling some Peppermint to wake up. I have lots of stories like these.
But the real stories come when you least expect it...like consistently using an oil to help balance hormones and then running out...and seeing issues that you had not even known about.
So if you have heard my story, then you know that 6 years ago, I started experiencing some problems to the point of the doctors being sure I had cancer. Thankfully, it was not cancer but I was dealing with a major surgery having to deal with my reproductive system. They wanted to place me on more drugs to help balance the issues. That was how I got started with oils...I wanted a better option.
One of the oils I discovered and started using religiously everyday was Progessence Plus. Guys, I'm 46. Things happen. Things change. Symptoms are there...or they should be. But I didn't have any...until the last few weeks. Now I have lots. Besides my dislocated and broken shoulder, I have had no life or dietary or environmental changes. Now, I have hot flashes all day and night, PMS symptoms, extreme mood changes, migraines, can't sleep, have frequent trips to the bathroom, lots of cravings, no energy, and am generally just not comfortable.
I can't even. It is that bad. I do not take any other hormone balancing supplement or pill. This amazing smelling oil was my life. Sometimes, we don't know how awesome something is until we no longer have it.
Thankfully, my monthly order goes in tomorrow...I may buy 12,000 bottles. Anyone want one?
